What housekeeping needs to know
A couple of things that keep rooms heating correctly.
- Don't block radiators or valves — furniture, curtains or bedding over a radiator valve stops it sensing the room properly.
- Close windows after airing a room — an open window near a valve fights the heating and can trigger an "excessive temperature" or cold-room alert.
- Room out of service? Ask the front desk to hold it at setback so it isn't heated for a booking that isn't coming.
If a valve looks damaged or a room feels wrong, flag it to the front desk so it can be checked.
