Pairing a new device
Add a new valve, sensor or switch to the system.
- Open Links and start pairing on the bridge (or enter the device's pairing code for a Matter device — dashes are handled for you).
- Put the device into pairing mode following its instructions.
- Wait for it to join — it appears as a new device, ready to place in a room.
- Assign it to its room. See Assigning a device to a room.
Pair a device close to where it will live, or at least within range of the bridge, so it joins reliably.
