How rooms and zones work

Rooms are heated individually; zones group rooms that should behave together.

A room is the basic unit — a bedroom, suite or function room with its own devices, temperature and occupancy. Each room is heated to suit its own bookings.

A zone groups rooms that should be handled together — a floor, a wing, or all the bedrooms — so you can see and schedule them as a set.

RoomOne space, its own TRVs/thermostat, its own occupancy and schedule.
ZoneA named group of rooms (e.g. "First floor") for organising and reporting.
Bedrooms usually each have their own calendar/PMS room; a whole floor of similar rooms can share a schedule via its zone.
